Craig passed away suddenly on 28th August 2007, he was a fit and healthy man, who loved his life and his family.
On Monday 27th August (a bank holiday) Craig myself and the children had a lovely day out at LegoLand, Windsor. we had an absolutely perfect day .... so many smiles and so much laughter, it was great to have such a fun day out as a family Toby was 2yrs 10mths and Freya was 10 months, so it was a hectic day but as we drove home we said that it would be a day that we remembered forever. On the Tuesday morning Craig had gone to work as normal and was planning to go fishing for a couple of hours after work, so I was not expecting him homw until 10:30pm .... at 11:15pm there was a knock at the front door. I opened it to the police who informed me that Craig had been found at the lake and that he had passed away, I felt as though my world had ended, as yet no cause has been given for his death, we await the inquest date.

Craig was a very popular person with many people who loved and cared for him, he loved his children and doted on them both, he was so happy to have had them - Craig was a fun loving, caring person and so kind hearted, he was a hard worker and had found a job at Tony Levoi's where he had made lots of very good friends and was happy and content, he always did the best he could for his family. He thought very highly of all of his friends and enjoyed socialising with them all. He was a great uncle to all of his neices and nephews and thought the world of all of them, he was especially close to the older ones, he regularly went fishing with Neil.

Craig was a keen fisherman and liked nothing better than to be sitting over a lake on a sunny day, keeping an eye out for the elusive carp as well as having a keen interest in all types of music.

Craig was my world, he was my soulmate, we had spent 12 years together and planned to grow old together and watch the children grow up, he couldn't wait to see them grow up, for Toby to be old enough to go fishing with him, or to see Freya take her first steps .... tragically this was not meant to be and Toby will never get to go fishing with his Dad and Freya will never be able to talk to her Dad. Although I would like to believe that he is still here watching over us and that he will be there for every milestone in their lives.

My life will never be the same again, a part of me went with Craig that day so he will never be alone.

Here is the poem read at the funeral by me for my darling Craig
If we could have a lifetime wish
and one dream that could come true
we would pray to god with all out hearts
just to speak to you
A thousand words
wont bring you back
we know because we`ve tried
and neither will a million tears
we know because we`ve cried
you`ve left behind our broken hearts
and precious memories too
But we`ve never wanted memories
we only wanted you.

Dear Husband You Are Missed So Very Much
Theres a land that isn't far away -
I go there every night
Where I see you in my dreams
And once more hold you tight.
Yet, when the dawn arrives,
And your not by my side,
Once more my heart is breaking
With the ache I feel inside.
For, when I had you by my side
You were the meaning to each day,
And life has never been the same
Ever since you went away.

Craig,
Once again I have been hit with overwhelming sadness and dispare - tomorrow should have been your 40th birthday and although I know you would have hated to get to the big 40 - I so wish you could have had the chance!!! You were taken from us much too soon and the sadness of you never seeing 40 has really taken the wind out of my sails. I hope that you are able to have a big party wherever you are and hope that you are thinking of us as we are thinking of you and do everyday.
